Mobile Video the next Generation.

Mobile video is the next big thing. I remember those words back in 1999 before the new millennium. We are going to have a full entertainment system inside our mini vans, cars, trucks and SUVs.

I heard this for years before it became a reality. The truth of the matter is that cars in the future will have satellite tracking GPS. HD radios, Satellite radio IE (XM and Sirius) and mobile television on demand video broadcasting and they will be driving themselves. Heck we already know that it’s possible since they have been testing this format in Miramar, California where they have a stretch of highway that has been set aside to make the future cars of tomorrow a reality today.

With all the high tech gadgets on the market today the one that intrigues me the most is the mobile TV, it’s like your never going to have to leave your car especially if you live in California where your car means everything. Oh don’t forget about the traffic in that state. I’ve been stuck on the highway for hours just to travel 13 miles. This is why I think when the technology is implemented to cars that drive themselves the reality is that commuters will be able to work to and from home and be more productive. Also the up side is you don’t have to work you can just surf the net or watch television until you arrive home.

Mobile video in automobiles is going to evolve into something larger then life and it is creating a flood gate of consumers who want the video entertainment systems that can surf the web or watch the evening news. The problem is how can you watch the news and drive at the same time. Oh yeah I forgot they already have cars that drive themselves.
